COLD HOPS: Citra, Simcoe, Enigma
HOT HOPS: Huel Melon
MALT: Maris Otter, Extra Pale Maris Otter, Oats, Wheat, Torrified Wheat
NOTES: The first ever pale ale we developed when still brewing on a kitchen stove. Happy to say it hasn’t changed much since its humble beginnings, it’s still a refreshing, clean and citric pale ale perfect for a sunny day.
COLD HOPS: Simcoe, Chinook, Citra
HOT HOPS: Huel Melon
MALT: Maris Otter, Vienna, Caramalt, Oats, Wheat, Carapils
NOTES: Our first ever IPA, we always designed this to be West Coast leaning with lovely piney, resinous flavours, but also with enough fruit in there to make it complex and surprisingly quaffable for the higher strength.
COLD HOPS: Tettnang
HOT HOPS: Bramling Cross
MALT: Maris Otter, Wheat, Chocolate Malt, Roasted Barley, Black Malt, Caramalt, Midnight Wheat
NOTES: 7 is our lucky number, a different grain for each of the Gan Yam founders, if you will. This is a broody, rich and deliciously dark porter with hints of bourbon, dark chocolate and a subtle toastiness. Perfect for a winter evening.
COLD HOPS: Citra, Simcoe, Enigma
HOT HOPS: Saaz
MALT: Lager Malt, Carapils, Torrified Wheat
NOTES: Inspired by our favourite Czech pislners, you know the type – golden in colour, complex in flavour with a lovely crisp hop finish.
COLD HOPS: Cashmere, Azacca, Nelson Sauvin
HOT HOPS: Nelson Sauvin
MALT: Extra Pale Maris Otter, Jumbo Oats, Wheat, Torrified Wheat, Caramalt, Carapils
NOTES: Big juicy crusher. Inspired from our collaboration brew with Pressure Drop, we picked up some of their techniques to help us squeeze out as much of the good stuff as we can from the hops.
COLD HOPS:
HOT HOPS: Citra
MALT: Lager, Carapils, Vienna
NOTES: Ultimate thirst quenching ale for coming off the fells, the name being a nod to him of the pictorial guides to the Lake District. Blonde base with citra leaf added once the wort is cooled to 80 degrees for plenty of citrus aroma but limited bitterness.
COLD HOPS: Amarillo
HOT HOPS: Bramling Cross, Centennial
MALT: Maris Otter, Caramalt, Crystal Malt, Munich
NOTES: A modern take on a classic with ripe fruits on a solid malt base with a deep amber colour. Centennial in the whirlpool and then Amarillo giving the fruitiness with a mid-level bitterness from the hot hops.
COLD HOPS: Centennial
HOT HOPS: Centennial
MALT: Maris Otter, Crystal 150, Roasted Barley, Black Malt, Chocolate Wheat
NOTES: Delicious, easy drinking, roasted, chocolatey dark mild. Nice low ABV allowing a few to be sunk quickly and single hopped with Centennial to add a depth to the bitterness and a hint of citrus in the aroma.
COLD HOPS: Enigma, Chinook
HOT HOPS:
MALT: Maris Otter, Wheat
NOTES: Dry hopped kettle sour, designed to be incredibly refreshing, light and tart. Equal parts pine and citrus from the hops.
COLD HOPS:
HOT HOPS: Centennial
MALT: Maris Otter, Wheat, Oats, Chocolate Malt, Roasted Barley, Black Malt
NOTES: We had to give this a go, and we’re pleasantly surprised with the results! Our aim was to create a solid chocolate stout to give the body and taste that could hold the actual mint cake bars we chuck in the late boil. Aiming for a subtle note of mint to hit around your third or fourth swig.
COLD HOPS: Mosaic, Amarillo
HOT HOPS: Centennial
MALT: Maris Otter, Oats, Wheat, Caramalt, Carapils
NOTES: Similar to our AYE, but at a more sociable strength, and therefore perfectly suited to cask. There’s a dry, piney finish from the hops and a crisp, refreshing malt base and amber colour.
COLD HOPS: Mosaic, El Dorado
HOT HOPS: Centennial
MALT: Extra Pale Maris Otter, Maris Otter, Oats, Wheat, Torrified Wheat
NOTES: Our flagship New England Pale Ale, aiming for a very smooth body with barely any bitterness, juicy new world hops, and loads of oats to help the body of the beer cope with the heavy hopping.
