Gan Yam means ‘Going Home’ in the Cumbrian dialect. In 2015 seven friends who all grew up together in Kendal ended up in London and we decided to start homebrewing as a means to hang out. In 2021 we made good on our name and went home to build our first brewhouse in Kendal.

Since then, we’ve been learning, failing and, sometimes, winning in our pursuit of creating quality beer. We aim to make delicious beer that helps create more possibilities and build connections. We are really lucky to have a brewery that we can use to make so many other great things possible!
